Credit Controller (Maternity Cover)

An opportunity has arisen based at our Head Office in Harrogate as Credit Controller (Maternity Cover) for Moda Life Management Limited.

The Credit Controller will oversee sites under the management of Moda Life Management Limited. This position will report into the Finance Manager.

Hours: 9 am – 5.30pm – 40 Hours Per Week
Salary: Up to £28k per annum

THE ROLE:

· Monitor and allocate resident payments

· Manage debtors and pursue any outstanding payments in a timely manner via email, telephone and letter, following company procedures

· Negotiate and track resident payment plans

· Prepare debtors reports for internal and for external stakeholder use

· Present arrears status to internal and external parties

· Issue legal letters- 7 Day/ 14 Day/ 21 Day to resident.

· Internal legal escalation process on 2 months + arrears

· Provide reporting/ analysis on Amber Energy Debt

· Communicate with solicitors and external bodies to implement debt recovery process

· Manage debt for commercial units

· Recharge energy to commercial units

· Document and prepare supporting evidence for use in legal proceedings

· Liaise with internal sales and lettings team to identify, allocate and resolve issues surrounding outstanding payments

· Complete account reconciliations

· Overseeing credit approval process prior to tenancy being agreed

· Advise on terms and conditions of financial agreements

· Flag any system/ process concerns

YOU:

· Organised, with a positive, can-do working attitude

· Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others

· Strong, confident telephone manner

· Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Ability to generate and maintain positive client relationships internally and externally

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and accounting software programs

· Experience in reconciling accounts

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work to strict deadlines

· Attention to detail

· Confident in presenting debt figures
