Reservations go live at Moda, Hove Central
Reservations are now live at the hotly anticipated Moda, Hove Central, our groundbreaking new neighbourhood in Hove!
Moda’s latest neighbourhood will bring 824 sustainable, state-of-the-art rental homes to Brighton & Hove area, as well as a host of best-in-class resident amenities. Doors will open for first residents in April 2024 and will cater to all ages and requirements, ranging from spacious studios to three-bedroom homes, and available at a range of price points.
Designed to benefit generations to come, Moda, Hove Central will have sustainability at its core, with energy efficient systems woven throughout the neighbourhood. In and offsite renewable energy provision, and smart sensors installed throughout will help the buildings and their users maximise their energy efficiency. Moda is also in the process of securing the highest standards of accreditation for the development including BREAAM Excellent, 3-star Fitwel and 3-star Home Quality Mark certifications.
Moda, Hove Central residents will have access to a range of best-in-class amenity spaces, designed to encourage community, sustainability and wellbeing. These will include a 24-hour concierge, a 24/7 fitness with personal trainers plus dance and yoga studios, dedicated co-working spaces, bright and comfortable residents’ lounges as well as a private dining room and cosy cinema room. A cycle cafe on the ground floor will also ensure cyclists have no trouble getting around Brighton & Hove sustainably.
As part of the operational team, dedicated Resident Engagement Managers will deliver an exciting programme of wellness and community focussed events such as fitness classes, health checks and book clubs.
The masterplan provides more than 60% of the 8.8-acre neighbourhood as public gardens, open for both residents and the wider Hove community to enjoy. In 2023, Moda Living announced a first-of-its-kind £450,000 public art strategy, which saw it collaborate with Brighton and Hove City Council and Sussex-based designer and artist Richard Wolfströme to create a line-up of local and internationally acclaimed artists to create bespoke artwork around the neighbourhood. The ambitious project will be the largest contribution to public space development ever seen from a private company in the city. As long-term custodians of the communities they operate in, Moda has already made a major contribution to the cultural life of the local area, commissioning a number of colourful murals painted by local artists on the boundary wall next to the site, and co-funding the installation of the ‘Flight of the Langoustine’ sculpture on Hove Plinth on the seafront, as well as being a major sponsor of Brighton Festival for two years running.
Situated in the historical Hove Station Quarter, Moda, Hove Central will play a major part in the Hove Station Neighbourhood Forum regeneration masterplan – in fact, the area’s rich heritage has been intrinsically woven into the development’s design and building names, with The Clifton tower named after Cliftonville Station which was situated on the same road.
As an inclusive developer, Moda has worked closely with Brighton & Hove City council to offer 10% of homes at a discounted market rent with residents still enjoying full access to the range of amenities on the site and outstanding services that Moda Living provides.
Peter Kyle, MP for Hove, said: "Working with Moda Living during the delivery of Moda, Hove Central has been a refreshing and rewarding experience; their commitment to supporting and enhancing our existing community has been genuine and had a tangible impact in Brighton and Hove. It is so exciting that after all our collaboration, the neighbourhood is ready to welcome residents and bring this pivotal development for Hove into its next exciting phase.”
Katja Harjanne, General Manager at Moda, Hove Central said: “I can’t wait to open our doors to residents and the Hove community and show them this beautiful neighbourhood. A huge amount of consideration and planning has gone into designing our homes and amenity spaces, and I know that people will be amazed when they walk through the door. The team have an exciting programme of events already lined up along with exclusive partnerships from across the city to offer to residents. We are dedicated to building a happy and healthy community at Moda, Hove Central, and we look forward to welcoming our first residents soon.”
